CD Ripping Guide – EC Zero T Portable CD Player
The recently released EC Zero T Portable CD Player is centered around its smooth-sounding R2R DAC and tube analog output, but it also includes a bonus CD ripping function. While not as advanced as the dedicated ripping capabilities of the CR60 CD Player, the EC Zero T supports simplified 1x-speed CD ripping to a connected USB drive, even during playback.
Follow these steps to rip CDs directly to a USB drive using the EC Zero T:
1. Prepare the USB Drive
Format the USB drive to FAT32.
Insert it into the USB DC port on the EC Zero T.
2. Load the CD
Insert your CD into the player and wait for it to load completely.
3. Initiate Ripping
Press and hold the Play/Pause button until the message “Ready Rec” appears in grey on the screen.
4. Begin Playback & Ripping
Playback will start automatically, and a red “Rec All” message will appear.
If playback does not start, press the Play button manually.
5. Let the Disc Play Through
Allow the entire CD to play. Tracks will be ripped in real time to the connected USB drive.
Output Format & Folder Structure
Each track is saved individually in WAV format.
Files are stored in a folder named “RIP” on the USB drive.
Important Notes
You can continue to listen to music, adjust settings, and control volume during ripping.
Track skipping is disabled while ripping is in progress.
