What is MA Player?

MA Player is a Linux-based high-resolution audio playback operating system exclusively available for Matrix Audio music streamers. It not only focuses on playback quality but also offers a user-friendly human-computer interaction. It includes a powerful audio format decoding library to enable playback of PCM, DSD, MQA, and other format files with various sampling rates. Additionally, it automatically indexes audio files from local storage devices and NAS, building a comprehensive music library.

What does MA Player do?

Local Music Playback

MA Player supports audio file playback from USB drives and NAS. It automatically indexes and builds a music library from these storage sources. Music is organized and presented in categories such as albums, tracks, artists, genres, composers, performers, eras, and labels within the “Library” section of the MA Remote App. It supports up to 32-bit/768kHz PCM audio and up to 22.4MHz DSD audio. It also supports common audio file formats available on the market, as well as MQA audio.

Local Network Streaming

MA Player integrates multiple network streaming protocols. In addition to being Roon Ready and supporting AirPlay, it also supports DLNA/UPnP, TIDAL Connect, and Spotify Connect. This means you can play music from various devices and platforms. Whether you’re using Roon or other similar streaming software, you can achieve high-quality audio playback and listening experiences.

High-Resolution Online Music

MA Player offers a diverse selection of streaming music resources. Through the integrated TIDAL, Qobuz, HIGHRESAUDIO, and Sony Select High-Res Music services within the MA Remote App, you can effortlessly browse and play an extensive collection of high-definition online music, opening up a gateway to the world of music.

Internet Radio

MA Player supports vTuner and Radio Paradise broadcasting services. Simply open the MA Remote App to explore a wide range of music, from energetic pop songs to soothing classical tracks, vibrant ambient music, or talk show programs. It caters to your musical preferences and allows you to fully explore a diverse range of content.

What is the MA Remote App?

The MA Remote App is a controller app for MA Player, available for iOS, iPadOS, and Android phones. It is an indispensable part of MA Player. While MA Player is responsible for building the music library and playing both local and streaming music, users browse the library and control playback through the MA Remote App.

What does the MA Remote App do?

The MA Remote App serves as the main link between users and Matrix Audio streamers. With this app, you can browse and play music from the library built by MA Player or from third-party streaming platforms. Additionally, the app allows you to control device settings such as power on/off, standby mode, input and output channels, volume control, and playback status at any time.

Upgradable Firmware and App
